This page will tell you all about how we think about innovation and how we make it happen for you!

Innovation can't be tamed. We can’t decide that it will happen every Thursday at 4 PM. So we foster it by being open and approachable people, try stuff to see what happens and take our chances. 


It's reassuring when things are neatly organised and certainly when it comes to testing software, securing data or fulfilling contractual obligation we are rigorous and structured. But that just doesn’t work for innovation. Innovating requires some fortunate accidents, some opportunistic mess. Some of the most life changing innovations came from apparently random and messy things happening. Think about antibiotics or the famous French Tarte Tatin!


We’re not confused and we’re not crazy (I mean not too much). We do not leave it to chance, we deliberately allow for randomness. We want unplanned, off-the-cuff, corner-of-the-table-idea-on-a-napkin thinking on a grand scale! Informal interactions in the team, with our customers, and between our customers is facilitated through workshops and walk-in events, because we know that the more informal bumping-into-each-other there is, the more creative we will be.


After all this talking discussing and often just common sense we build on our roadmap. That is essentially our plan for developing EasyCruit.. The EasyCruit Roadmap provides us with a map and our customers and prospects with a high level indication of the prioritised themes planned for future development.


EasyCruit has regular updates to provide continuous added value to its customers. Feature releases are undertaken every other month (generally the odd numbered months), with maintenance releases on even numbered months. Release notes are emailed to customer contacts, and available on this portal. 

How do we prioritise what goes on the roadmap?

All of our and your ideas go into one big mixing pot, and we consider the benefit and impact a change would have across all of our existing 750 customers, potential it could offer for new customers, alignment with our business strategy and the time and cost to implement.   Inevitably there is always a bigger wish list than what can be undertaken in order to keep our license fees low.  So we prioritise the items according to what will deliver the most value. With so much feedback and input, the best way for us to communicate to our customers which suggestions and new features we are implementing, is through our published Roadmap.

Can the roadmap change?

The short answer is yes it can. Innovation and technological change is happening at such a fast pace; a new security threat, a change to an integration partner’s technology; a new trend; a new law, could all mean that our roadmap needs to change. Not to mention how life just throws things at you which you may not expect.  Understandably, items in the roadmap  nine months from now are less certain than items in the roadmap scheduled for next month! We keep our customers informed of changes to the roadmap, which gets updated every three months.

Get involved!

For each key feature we develop for EasyCruit, we look to have at least one Customer Sponsor to represent our customer base and provide input throughout the development cycle; from requirements, design, and review of the finished outcome. Contact our Customer Success Team if you are interested in being a Customer Sponsor for any of the items listed in our Roadmap.
