EasyCruit 15.9 Release


EasyCruit continues to deliver customer value through its new releases, providing features that make the user experience more efficient and enjoyable. EasyCruit 15.9 is currently scheduled for release on Wednesday 14 October at 17:30 CEST (for APAC customers, on Tuesday 27 October at 13:30 CEST) and will last up to two hours. During this time there may be some unavailability of the EasyCruit service. Features included in the 15.9 release include:

CV Parsing in Career Website

If activated, candidates can now use their CV/resume file information to apply to a vacancy. Candidates can upload the CV/resume file from their Dropbox account, Google Drive account or own drive. The uploaded document will be parsed and the extracted information will pre-populate the application form.

Also, candidates can use their CV/resume file information to keep their Career Centre CV up to date. Candidates can upload the CV/resume file from their Dropbox account, Google Drive account or own drive. The uploaded document will be parsed and the extracted information will pre-populate Career Centre CV.

The formatting, size and positioning of the icons can be tailored by your consultant to match your branding.


  1. Apply to a vacancy and select where to upload the document from.


  1. If the user is uploading a file from Dropbox or Google Drive account they will be asked to verify.


  1. Select a CV document.


  1. The selected document is uploaded and parsed. This information will pre-populate the application form.
  2. The candidate can then review, edit and delete information, and answer any additional questions.


The following information will be populated if the candidate has the information in their CV file, and the question is included in the application form or Career Centre CV form:

CV Parsing is able to parse CVs in the most commonly used document formats (such as DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, HTML, TIFF, TXT, XML and EML) and in a wide range of languages:

There are known issues with CV Parsing feature on Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) that will not be addressed, Internet Explorer 8 will no longer be supported by Microsoft beginning January 12, 2016.

Save Application in Candidate Career Centre

If activated, candidates can now save their applications in Career Centre in case they need to continue it later. The look and feel can be tailored by your consultant to match your branding.

  1. Candidate starts the application process and fills in the information. Candidate decides to continue and submit the application later so clicks Save application and continue later. Save application is available in every step of the application process.


  1. If the candidate is already logged into Career Centre at the beginning of the application process, the application is saved. If not,  the user will be asked to login or create a new user login; after this the application is saved.


  1. Candidate accesses Career Centre to find the list of saved applications.


  1. Candidate can manage the list of saved applications. Candidate can continue a saved application. At any time the candidate can save their application again.


  1. Candidate can remove any saved applications.

Vacancy Creation Navigation Usability Improvements

Administrators and users with access to create vacancies will now see the enhancements when creating a new vacancy.

Navigate by Clicking a Step on the Progress Bar

Users can navigate to a step only if that step's actions can be performed, otherwise the tab is inactive. Active steps depend on the vacancy creation progress:

  • Departments and Contacts is active only after Title and Region step is completed
  • Project classification step, Vacancy Ad step, Application form step, and Response mails step are active only after Title and Region step and Departments and Contacts steps are completed
  • Approval step and Posting step are active only after Title and Region step, Departments and Contacts step and Vacancy Ad steps are completed
  • Screening step and Collaborative rating step are active only after Title and Region, Departments and Contacts and Application form steps are completed.



Adding Contacts is now more Easily Accessible

In Departments & Contacts page, Add Contact feature box will always be visible at the top of the screen. This will allow users to add contacts easily without scrolling up and down, even if the list of departments and contacts is very long and a contact needs to be added to a department that is at the bottom of the list.





Additional Employment Type Option: Fixed Term Contract

Employment Type - Fixed Term Contract option is now available for Employment Type field when posting vacancy to any internal channels. Users will be able to choose this value and give candidates the relevant information about the vacancy.



CandidateExport API Enhancements

As part of EasyCruit Data Exchange Pack, CandidateExport method from Candidate API will now contain also HR classification - Employee profile questions. The other types of questions already present in the CandidateExport method are:

  • Self Classification – Candidate profile 
  • HR classification - Candidate profile
  • Self Classification – Employee profile
  • Self Classification – Candidate Application (available in the list of applications).
